Toolkits so other people can build the instruments.
Developed as part of my PhD at the ATLAS Institute: two platforms for building musical
robots and for mapping tangible interfaces to sound.
The musical robots platform is a set of MIDI-controlled motor driver boards and laser-cut
mechanisms. Sound Clippys makes it quick to build a tangible interface and map it to sound —
used in workshops and in a middle school music classroom where students designed and built
their own instruments.
